Important Information
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury.
If the water temperature is set too high,
scalding will occur. The water temperature should never be set above 120°F
(49°C).
NOTICE: Risk of product damage.
Do not force the handle in any direction. Forcing
the handle will damage the valve.
NOTICE: Risk of product damage.
The long [2-3/8
″
(60 mm)] screws, for installing
trim, can damage the K-2971-KS valve. When using this valve and trim with wall
thicknesses less than 13/16
″
(21 mm) thick, use the short [1-5/8
″
(41 mm)] screws.
NOTICE: Risk of product damage.
Do not attempt to remove the flow regulator
from the showerhead.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
The finished wall or bath/shower unit must be installed prior to installing the
trim.
If the wall thickness is greater than 3/4
″
(19 mm) a deep rough-in kit is required.
Consult the specification sheet for the specific kit.
Valve Identification:
When installing valve trim with diverters, you will need to
know your valve model. The K-11748 valve has a threaded diverter stem; the K-305
valve has a smooth diverter stem.
IMPORTANT! If installing trim to the K-305 valve
a diverter button kit is required.
Consult the specification sheet for the specific kit.
